Every Day Is Leg Day

I heard this quote this weekend and it really got me thinking “Every day is leg day when you’re running away from your troubles.” While my workouts are never divided into leg days and chest days, but they are more all body workouts, I do understand the importance and most importantly the feeling one gets during and right after leg day. It’s that feeling when it seems as if your legs are going to fall off, as if getting out of bed in the morning is a struggle, as if the simple act of walking is a torture.

Constantly running away from your troubles will definitely get you that feeling and will put you in the state of believing that you’ve just finished the most grueling leg day workout.

While leg day serves a purpose in your weekly workouts and makes your body stronger and more resilient, running away from your troubles only makes them appear bigger. Confronting them however will make you stronger and more resilient as every trouble you confront helps you grow and become a better person.

Next time you feel like running away from your troubles, double up on your leg day and then confront them. You’ll feel just as exhausted at the end, but at least your body and mind will be much stronger.
